Girls Achieve Empowerment Luncheon

The Girls Achieve Program was presented in the Promise Academies, which are six schools under the direct management of Dr. Arlene C. Ackerman, Superintendent of the School District of Philadelphia

All students received a Certificate of Participation for completing the program.


  Philadelphia School Superintendent and guest speaker Dr. Arlene C. Ackerman, here with Elleanor Jean Hendley, encouraged the students to always strive for excellence.

  Dr. Ackerman received a special quilt made by Girls Achieve students at Potter-Thomas Middle School.
